Dash Noises
I had my windshield replaced last month and I now how dash noises by the VIN area. I tried to shove felt strips down there and it sort of helped the problem, but I still have creaks that drive me silly. I'm wondering if the glass was mounted closer to the dash to cause this mess. These creaks were not heard before the glass install.

more to the story
this is my second windshield in one month. the first one had imperfections and i had them yank it out and throw another one in. i'd rather not deal w/ them if i could help it. i am going to pull the instrument cluster tomorrow and take a looksee. i'll also fiddle around w/ the mounting bolts that are hidden under the fuse panel.

Personally,
I wouldn't fiddle with it too much while it's still under warranty. If you think you can fix it though, knock yourself out. If they see that you've pulled all kinds of **** out and tried to fix it, it may void your warranty.Who did the work?

the funny thing is that the car is still under AA warranty and the a$$holes at the dealership couldn't diagnose the problem. they said it didn't leak and to bring it back during the next rain storm. i finally had enough of wet floormats so i paid $330 to have the glass replaced. i'm very happy w/ no more water in my car but now i have a musical car
