Default You don't need to remove the dashboard.

Look at SPP instructions for dash mounted boost gauge. That will tell you how to remove center vent section.

Default I'll just tell you how to do it

take a credit card, and slide it into the left side of the middle vent, pull on the right side of the middle vent with your hand (if you can't get a good grip, run some wire or a metal coat hanger through and back out of the vents (like a sideways U with the tips facing you) and pull the vent out. The center housing (that holds all 3 vents) just slides right out, reach in and pull on it. Be patient it will come out. then you can tuck that thread back in. The middle vent you took out just pops right back on, but make sure you don't lose the little metal piece and don't break the vent, they are $$$
