Data display on the Trip Computer (how to?)

Does anyone know of ways to display information directly to the trip computer display? I'm looking for a way to use either a portion of the display (as in the radio area) or the entire display.

A long time a person (crook) named C Redl claimed to have a trip computer boost gauge took a bunch of people's money before dissappearing. He almost got my money too.

Here's what I bring to the table: Electronic boost gauge (w/ vacuum display), Display GPS map screenshots to a dot matrix display and possibly a Valentine 1 remote display directly on the trip computer. I've got a good idea on how to each of these. What I need to know is what is possible to display on the trip screen and how to do it.

If anyone's out there with technical information or schematics please send me a note.
