Default Decided to keep the car....

First of all, i've decided to keep my 97 2.8 QM instead of the IS300.

Secondly, someone told me that the Mobil 1 oil filter(M1-301) is bad for our car?? That its not the right size???

Thirdly, is the Interstate MTP-91 the correct battery for the car? and also, where would i get it? Sears doesn't carry it, only Diehard.

Sears has a diehard that fits. I would recommend using oem filters.

It's just a battery. I agree with BSK.

Default look closely.. it might say 7 years but the cost to pay at 7 might be deceiving

read the close print.
at 7 years they might only cover 5% of replacement cost and you pay 95$
either way on an item less than 100$ its not to bad if the thing will last 6 years or so

Default Also, is there any effect to having the skid plate off??

I searched and found that it effects engine temperature?? I am asking because i changed my oil today and found that there was only 1 screw holding it on. All the others fell off. So im asking if its worth it for me to go to the stealership and buy some for $4 each.

Default slighty higher engine temps, and maybe run the risk of damage engine components more then not having

it. I ran without out one for about 3 years with no problems. I finally just bought the 3 front screws from esc and then zip tie it in place.
