Default Delta CC CD Changer

I just ran across what looks like a CPU for an Alpine CD Changer, it has the same part # as the Delta CC CD changer,

<a href="http://www.partstore.com/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductSKU=7081945">IC, CPU 4D0 035 111</a>

It's $17, anyone heard of this part?

I was thinking maybe I could buy a cheap aftermarket Alpine, swap this chip for $17 and have the Audi-Only Alpine?

Default That PN was used in the '95-'99 A6/S6 and '97-'99 A8 only

Not sure about its application for what you want to do with it.

Default Kind of a long shot to find the actual alpine deck this plugs into.

Although you are correct that is the part number for one of the changers (there are two).

Unless you must have a CD changer, I would swap the Delta for a Concert and go with an iPod or MP3 player.

15 minutes work.

That's the CD Changer part number I need, for my 96 A4...but the changer is hundreds of $$$.

This appears to be the actual board for that Alpine CD Changer, as the actual Alpine part number is
Alpine Part Number: 51T65168W01

I was thinking I could take an old Alpine CD Changer that appears compatible with the 4D0 035 111, but isn't becuase of the propietary communications.

Switch this board with the one in the old Alpine changer and then have a Audi compatible Alpine.

The CD Changer appears to be an Alpine 4905. Since that is the cartidge the OEM uses.

I have a buddy that used to run a stereo shop and probably has an old one laying around.

Might be worth $17 just to try anyway??

I think the VW one is standard Alpine from that era.
