Delta CC replacement

I decided to install an aftermarket Pioneer CD unit, rather than mess with the Delta. I noticed that Scosche has, in addition to a bezel kit, several choices of harness plugs (anyone used one of these?). They also offer an antenna amplifier. Is this needed, or is a window antenna amplifier already installed ahead of the antenna/radio plug. If so, a simple adapter (also a Scosche item) would be all that is needed. Comments anyone?

Haven't used the Scosche. I've used Metra parts and they're very reliable. No antenna amp needed but you do need an Audi/VW antenna adapter.

Thanks! I haven't checked Metra, but will do so.
How about the connector kit that Schosche and others offer? Does that make the installation 'a snap', and which model of plug is needed? The Schosche line includes VW01.... VW03, and its hard to see which, if any, are the correct one.

The wiring harness is part# 70-1784 and is color coded the same as the Pioneer. You can use crimp connectors or solder the harnesses together. The kit you need is 99-9100 and the antenna adapter is 40VW-54. If you have a problem locating them I can get them for you.

Fuel100: The part number you cited is for a powered antenna adapter; in your earlier post you said no antenna amplifier is needed. Can you clarify please?
