Difference between GIAC 30.a and 30.b programs?

So what's the difference between the two of these? Is one an "updated" and better program?

Difference between 30a and 30b:

30b has a bit more mid range torque than 30a. 30a is the non-ping chip. Both versions have an excellent top end. If your car pings then try 30a if it doesn't and you have good gas in your area then go for the extra torque in the middle and try 30b. 30b is GIAC's Stage 1.5 chip. MC if I missed anything please add it.
