Differences in current A4 Generations?

I looked at a beautiful 2001 A4 at Waterwagens recently (FourRings) and was VERY impressed, I test drove a 1998 A4 today, and the interior was different. I was curiuos what changes have been made in the A4 in its lifespan. Thanks

1) until the 02' A4 is here.. there is ONLY 1 A4 generation..

Some changes include interior, head lights, Drive by Wire, strut braces, logo placements, suspension

Oh yeah, and the 2001 has VVT (variable valve timing). It adds 20hp.
