Default Dimming the instruments

Last night it's quite dark and I'm wondering, gee the red is nice but it would be nice to be able to dim the white on the instruments. I dug through the owners manual and the archives but found nothing on dimming the instruments. Am I outta luck?

Default Well, on the 99 model you turn the left **** counter-clockwise to dim

This is the same **** used to set the analog clock on the pre-2000 model cars and run the self-test for the warning displays, and to set the speed alarms.

Turn the trip odometer reset **** (bottom of speedometer) counter-clockwise. Mine was a bit stiff and required a bit of effort.

Thanks. I DID find it hidden in the manual after reading yer posts. I've returned the manual into the car but it's the RIGHT ****. The manual specified a page 117 but nothing on 117 said anything about dimming. Oh well...FOUND IT! Thanks again.

Need more dim advice.
At nite, sometimes I prefer to turn the dash lights totally off. My dimmer switch wont do this, does yours. Also, can the the radio frequency display and temperature display be dimmed??

Default Turning off trip computer

You can turn off the whole trip-computer/radio/temp display by pressing the gray rectangular button on the bottom of the right steering column stalk.
