does the tip chip help in performance?

i got kicked by a prelude si last night, do to automatic. does the faster shifting acutally help?

I would imagine it does...everyone who has it seems to like it

some claim it will wear less on your transmission too since it makes the shifts quicker I dunno. If you want it you have to get it from GIAC since he seems to be the only one who does this mod.

Garret says it should help .2 to .3 on the 1/4

but that was based upon what customers had told him, not his own testing.

those who doesnt carry the tip chip say the oppasite.

I have an extra stock transmission computer module for sale now if you're interested, but check

the part # for your TCM just to make sure it's the same as the one I have.

Get a torque converter upgrade from Level10.

Because the stall speed on the torque converter is around 1900, you're not really boosting at launch. Level10 makes a torque converter/valve body upgrade for our transmissions which brings the stall speed up, getting you boost from the start.
