down pipe

down pipe

Newbie to the forum, hey what are the thoughts on getting the down pipe done on a 97 1.8t?? I've done suspension, gone with the P-chip, drop in K&N air filter and Brullen exhaust. Just haven't done the down pipe, does it help with lag and trottle responce??

hmmm, im going to say its definately worth doing if you have a 1.8T and an exhaust

heres soemthing to keep in mind

stock = 1.78"
SPP DP = 2.5"

yes better throttle, low end, fast spools.

Interesting, because I definately notice some lag and not the best throttle responce. Although I really don't have much to measure this against, its what I feel. And I feel both those areas could improve. Brullen here in Toronto installed the 2.5 piping from the stock down pipe, is it worth the change to what your suggesting??
