Driver behavior.
This is probably not news to anyone but just a revelation I came up with while I was driving my car to... um... ..actually, driving around for no reason.
Worried about engine wear and life your A4? (I was)
How hard is the chip going to be on your engine?
The real and relevant question is - How hard are you going to be on your car?
My personal answer to that question: VERY HARD. But so far it's worth it. If my car dies sooner than expected, oh well, looks like I'll be getting an S4 sooner than I thought. :-)
driving my car to... um... ..actually, driving around for no reason." Great line. As you know I'm still waiting for some more mileage to pile up before I chip, but even now, after having my car for some 5 chipless months, I'll find a saturday afternoon when the wife and daughter and out, and I'll turn to my 4 yr-old son and say, "Hey, wanna go for a ride?" He says, "yeah!" and off we go, to nowhere in particular.....although he does insist that the ride include what he calls "twisty roads". Where we are there are plenty of them, and it warms my heart to hear that little voice in the back saying "Yeeee Haaaa!"

Always in full control and driving safely with my son, no flames, please.
The speed is definitely there. Improved in every range.
But one thing I noticed -- even without any suspension mods, the car feels like it handles better with the chip. I know that it's just perception. But I think that is equally important.
