Drivetrain problems...help please...
Ok, so my girlfriends 97 A4 1.8T quattro starts acting up again. Its really weird, when the car initially starts to move back or forward, you can hear a steady creaking sound coming from the drivetrain area. I'm stumped to what it is. When the car is at a complete stop, when I turn the wheel left or right you can hear/feel this medium-pitched creaking sound. Anyone have any ideas?

My control arms were bad a while back and I was getting a creaking sound from the front suspension. The only time I noticed it was driving over bumps, and when starting out or stopping. So the inital description matches my problem but I'm not sure about the part when turning the wheel left/right. Could still be cotrol arms but that sounds strange
