Default e-code help needed...it's a mechanical problem.

problem is with the driver side housing. inside, towards the side closest to center of car and attached to the bottom edge of the housing is a white piece with a ball on one end. this ball SHOULD be clipped into a socket/arm that is connected to the back of the high-beam reflector. mine has come out somehow and i can't figure how to get it back in there. doesn't seem to be enough play for me to clip it back in. anyone? without it being clipped in, the entire reflector is not secure and it's going to shake a lot.

Default I had this happen to me..... it can be snapped back in...

I over-adjusted it once and caused that ball to pop out of it's socket. Obviously you have to remove the housing from the car. Then take the back cover off and you will need to finagle it a little. It's been a long time since I did it, and I can't recall what method or tools I used... but after wrestling with it awhile I did manage to snap it back in.

Default i was hoping there was a 'correct' way...

i'm gonna pray i don't break anything trying to force it back in. did you force it straight into the socket or from the bottom...which looks like it's more open but is harder to get to.

Default I just did mine this past week and I had to take it off in order to put in the

autolevelling motor so I know how to do it. But it's hard to explain it in typed words. email me and I'll give you my number if you want to call and I can walk you through it.
