3rd: You do know the stock turbo (which I assume you have) is internally wastegated, right? You sure you're not talking about the bypass valve?
So, your car does not make any boost? Or does the car overboost? I'm still confused how you came to the conclusion that your wastegate spring was destroyed. Of course, if you can move the actuator w/just your finger, something's wrong, but what happened before that?

Btw, not to shamelessly advertise, that turbo is still available for sale. New studs can be had from ECS Tuning for a couple bucks.
