ebay wastegate????
i figured out today my wastegate spring is destoryed. i really dont have a ton of cash to spend on a forge or other high priced wastegate like that. has anyone had any luck with the $50 ones you see on ebay? i cant imagine they work nearly as well but maybe someone can tell me other wise. thanks for you input

1st: How did you come to the conclusion that your wastegate spring is destroyed?
2nd: I would not trust eBay with something as important as a wastegate. I would let the car sit and use that $50 for bus fare for a few months until I could get the car back together.
3rd: You do know the stock turbo (which I assume you have) is internally wastegated, right? You sure you're not talking about the bypass valve?

i could put my finger on the wastegate actuator and slide it back and forth. im assuming that if the spring was still good that would not be possible do move it at all or there would be at least some resistance. if i push it forward, it stays there. same if i pull it back. what else could it be or what do i need to fix it?

As far as I know, there are not kits to fix our turbos... I could be very wrong, but
I haven't seen any.
So, your car does not make any boost? Or does the car overboost? I'm still confused how you came to the conclusion that your wastegate spring was destroyed. Of course, if you can move the actuator w/just your finger, something's wrong, but what happened before that?

So temping,
Im going to let my engine cool down and I will double check my wastegate is bad. I have the usual rattle and I checked it once, a while ago, but I dont remember. I will let you know. Also the injectors you have, stock?
