ECT Question
I searched the forum, and found this question asked, but couldn't find an answer, so any input would be great!
I just replaced the ECT on a '98.5 A4 (blue sensor), with a new O-ring and a new plastic clip. Before I changed it out, I remember it didn't budge at all until I took the clip out, but now I can wiggle it around a little bit after putting the clip on. I can't pull the sensor out, and I drove around for a while and it seems OK... but it worries me. Is it because the older clip was metal and this one is plastic? Or is it just not on correctly?

It probably has nothing to do with the new clip being plastic. It probably just built up a "seal" from crud and now it nice and clean so it can move around a bit.
By the way, I wrote an article in the tech section (of Audiworld) on this and I chose to keep the metal clip. Why would you replace a much more durable metal clip with a cheap plastic one?
