ecu/engine problems
well guys i'm having problems with my '96 2.8Q
i was driving around the other night and noticed that when i started my car it started flashing "oil" where the digital tripometer is... went away after about 15 seconds... then today when i got in my car it flashed "lnl" in that same spot... i was wondering if anyone else has ran into this... or if i'm just ****ed or what the deal is and if anyone could help me with this or if you could point me somewhere that could.. (local audi dealer being last possible option)

unfortunatly i don't have a manual......i wish i did cuz then it would be easier for me to answer these questions on my own... i currently have 73850 miles on the car.. and the deal i bought the car from had a slip/receipt saying the oil wouldn't needed to be changed till 74k-75k

Your car is reminding you of the upcoming inpection, which is due every 7500 miles. Around 75k seems about right.
Even more important, your car is 7 years old, which means you are overdue for a new timing belt and waterpump due to age. More than 4 years or 90k miles means challenging fate with our motors.
Maybe you can get a manual from Audi an Audi dealer, or maybe ypu can find one on ebay?
