Default Electronic Odometer

does anyone have any recommendations about what to do on a lease that when over next year on my 1.8t will be MUCH higher then contracted for.

Just accepted a new job with a commute twice as long as what I had when I took the lease.

Thanks,
Skippy

PS Am I alone in thinking that the Avant is a better looking vehicle then the sedan

Default One possible solution...

..would be to sell the car to a private party and just pay off the leinholder. This may work out to your benefit, depending on how much time is remaining on the lease AND depending on how much you can get for the car.

Having leased before I only see two distinct options:
1-pay the penalty
2-finance the car at the end of the lease (this makes sense only if the amount owed on your car is lower than what you could realistically sell it for)
One last posibility applies only if you leased through Audi of America. If you agree to lease another Audi they might be willing to overlook the excess mileage on your current lease. Kind of like a favor for your loyalty. Honda has been known to do this, not sure about Audi though.

In any case....best of luck.

You have to pay for what you use.

Of course not. You'd rather get something for nothing!

You're not alone. Most of us think Avant is better looking but not everyone will admit it.

Default trade now

I think that it may not be impossible to trade in for a new A4 now (maybe an Avant). You're going to take a hit, but with a little negotiating, you should be able to offset the risk and high penalties that come with waiting. If you can afford to shell out a few $k now, do it now. If you'll be in better shape to do it later, then wait. It seems to be that your best option is to get into a new car and enjoy it, so at least you get some value out of taking the hit.

Good luck.
