Bringing Audi to Life for Audi Fans
You don't have to get the emblem real hot, just good and warm is plenty. The key is to take them off with the floss.
If you dont have goo gone handy you can spray a little wd 40 on the tape, give it a few minutes to soak in and then take them off with a rag or your fingers.
After I got the residue of the double back tape off I took a bottle of McGuiars cleaner, kind of a pink color, and cleaned the area real good. Mine is a 99 and I was concerned that the age difference of the paint would be noticable. It cleaned up and you can't tell the badges were ever there.
Just remember you dont have to get the badges too hot. My son heard about what I was going to do and heated his up then tried to pull them off directly and lifted the paint! Much older car but went about it wrong.
