Emergency Key Problem, Help!

OK, I admit I am totally clumsy....but I dropped my key between the driver's seat and the center console. After looking for 20 minutes, I managed to find it by touch, but then knocked it into some sort of plastic opening. From the back seat, I can barely get my fingers on it by reaching under the driver's seat, palm upwards, and fingers curled into the area that it is sitting. Any advice on how to get it out? or how to take part of the seat apart? My car is now at the garage at work.... The seat is electric, 98 A4. THANKS!

Does the seat move forward when the power is off?

Do you have the spare key with you?

If not, then your car must be unlocked - exactly where did you say you work?

get a pair of surgical forceps about 6-8". You can grab anything this these and the lock. The nose of them is bent at about an 80 degree angle. They solve auto and home problems! You can usually find them at craft stores, tool outlets and related stores.
