Which Engine?
I would like to know your thoughts on the reliability, lifespan, and costs of maintaining a 1.8T v.s. the 2.8. Particularly those of you who have chipped your 1.8T and have put some miles on it.

There was some discussion of this in the past. You may want to check the archives. An Audi tech spoke up and said most of the engine problems he has seen has been related to the turbo on the 1.8T models. Then again, you could replace multiple turbos before hitting the price of a 2.8 and Audi has a good warranty. I felt the 2.8 would be more reliable in the long run but I am no expert.
