Engine idle problem
Hello,I hope someone can help me. I have a 1996 A4 2.8l and i have some idle problems. When starting the car in cold weather like below -20celcius I have to push on the gas pedal until the engine warms up and then it runs fine. Also now in warmer temps the car starts like a new car but,when i hit town the engine RPM drops to about 2-300rpm and fluctuates up and down without stalling.The throttle body was clened, the idle valve was checked and cleaned and i also changed the temp sensor.
Can someone help me because I love that car but I'm getting a little bit tired!!!

Did you replace the vacuum lines? How did you clean the throttle body?
On the 12valve there are couple that can leak. If you haven't replaced any of them you are way overdue.
The only way to clean the throttle body correctly is remove it. Spraying gumout around while its still attached is worthless.
