Engine ligh is on
Hi I got an Audi 2001 A4 1.8T and i went to the Audi dealer and replaced the timing belt and water pump, 3way breather hose,tensioners,rollers and my car's engine light was on so the dealer told me to replace the ignition coils so i did. But now the engine light came back again. what should i do? PLease help me..

man, that must have been quite a bill... you should find out what it is yourself because
the dealer may want to scam more monies out of you.
There's no way for us to tell you what is wrong... could be many things.
You can go back to the dealer and hhave them scan it and tell you what "codes" come up (I'd have them do it for free since they didn't correct the issue or maybe forgot to clear the codes)
You can also buy or find (on regional forums / here) someone with a VAG (computer diagnostic tool for Audi)

1) stop going to the dealer for repairs 2) find an indy shop 3) post and reseach here first
Post in your regional forum for someone who has a VAG to pull the code that is causing the CEL. Or, some of the Autozone type places will pull codes for free.
If you have a rough idle and the CEL flashes, it's probably a coilpack. ~$25 from any of the online suppliers.
If the CEL is on soon thereafter of the repairs, then go back to the dealer.

How's it running? The thing is, it could be so many things causing that light to come on
if you do go to the dealer, make sure they don't charge for diagnosis. Ask what their computer says, and post the results here.
My light's come on so many times, it's silly... but I have a VAG tool and figure out if it's something that needs to be fixed ASAP, or if I can do the work myself. Sometimes it's a vaccume line that takes a minute to fix, or a bad O2 sensor, etc... it's just a guessing game without diagnosis.
You can try posting in your regional forum to see if someone is in your area willing to hookup there VAG to see what's wrong. It only takes a minute and most people around here are willing to help a fellow member out. They may also point you towards a good indy shop that won't charge as much as dealers do.
