Engine Noise Question-Help!
I've experienced a grinding sound upon startup aproximately three times over the past two months. In each of these cases my car had been unused for at least a day. The sound quickly goes away, but is extremely unnerving. Just to note; My car is a completely stock 1.8. I do keep it in idle for way longer than I should. And I do push the RPM's to the redline regularly. However, I do religiously change the oil with mobil one every 3K, and never use anything less than 94 octane. I would really appreciate any feedback as to the cause or severity of this problem. Thanks a lot! Oh, also, are brake pads replaced for free under the service warranty? Thanks again!

I hope you didn't change your oil before the first 5k miles...
