Engine part missing??

MY co-worked just bought his 2001 A4
and we noticed a part of his engine is missing
what is there? and what should it look like?

He just doesn't have ESP.

Nothing missing otherwise.

It's just a broken cover. Nothing is missing.

there is just a plastic cover that covers all that. His cover is clearly broken off and gone.
