engine question

Could anyone please tell me if the 12 valve 2.8 L engine produced for a '96 A4 had double overhead cams or single? Also, did this engine have variable valve timing on either the intake or exhaust valves or both? I would greatly appretiate this information if anyone could provide me with it. Thankyou.

Single overhead cams, no variable valve timing, 2 valves per cylinder.
