engine starting problems...HELP
I have a 98 A4 1.8TQ that just had a partialy rebuilt (rings, rod bearings, a few valves) engine and new factory KO3 turbo installed. I drove it home and parked it for a few hours and when I tryed to restart it, the engine wouldn't fire. The dealer told me to try holding the gas down while I cranked the engine and after three tries, it fired up. I tock it in and they replaced the coolent temp. sensor. everything was working untill that night when the car didn't start again. since then I can get it started sometimes by cranking it 4 or 5 times for 10 sec at a time and holding the gass down but rarely.
It doesn't crank slow. It runs great when I can actualy get it running. It has new coolant temp and crank position sensors, new MAF and new plugs. Battery is good too. everything that I can think of would either make it not start at all or make it not run well when started up. Please Help!
