I own a 99.5 a4 quatro 1.8t, in February (of this year) my wife was in an accident, front end collision, when the first tow truck came and towed the car to the house, he didnt tow the car on a flat bed, then finally I get the car to a repair shop sugested to me by the local audi dealer, from the raidiator forward had to be replaced, first time I go to pick up the car, 2 miles down the road the radiator fluid dropped out of the car and the water temp gauge went all the way to H because the warning light for low raidiator fluid went off a bit to late for me to do anything,so car gets towed back to shop(on flatbed) and "a hose wasnt clamped down all the way" so we take it home, now the car starts stalling randomly, we take it back, the guy says I dunno, he had to also fix the headlight washers because they were poping up, but not spraying, so we get the car back, and its still stalling and the headlight washers still dont work, so now he takes it to the audi dealership and after 2 weeks with it, all they could come up with was the oxygen sensor went off once, so the replaced it, and they were unable to make the car stall under normal driving. Sorry should have said its an automatic. so we picked up our car yesterday, and THE FREAKING THING IS STALLING AGAIN! and now, when I tried to turn on the fog lights, the fuse blew, I replaced it, and it blew again. When the car stalls, its random, usually when im at a stop light or stop sign and have the radio and ac on and as I pulled up to a stop sign, it idles very rough, beacause the rpm's go very low .3-.4 then usually stalls, sometimes if I put it in neutral and give it a bit of gas, the rpm's come up and its ok, but this happens raandomlly, or so I think, it happens 3 times in row ro doesnt happen for 3 days. If anyone knows what might be wrong or have an idea, or a suggest of where I might be able to take my car for better seervice in the sspringfield ohio area, plz reply to this message, ( email adress is old) TY TY TY TY

for yours temporarily as a problem solving exercise? Or a Vag tool to check the DTC's right after a stall?

 

Well yippers ty for the info, but the only problem is that the dealer had the car for 2 weeks strait driving it around and testing it etc, and it never stalled for them , or atleast so they said, but atleast I can now tell them something to look at, if anyone else has a suggestion I would greatlly appreciate it, as to what might be wrong with it, but ty for the info and yeah, it does suck, ive been stuck driving a grand am grand prix tarus or saturn, wich ever the rental company decids to give when I go back to see them, ahh well ty again
