factory grille / chip

i bought my 97 audi a4 and it has an aftermarket honeycomb grille on it. It's easy to take out and put back in, but when i try to put the factory grille on, i can't even get the bottom to fit without feeling like im going to break it when i push it down. ive tried pulling the hood release through and pushing that way, it just seems that i cant get it parallel enough to the front so that it slides on properly... am i doing something wrong?

second, i might be going to a place that only works on german cars to have my chip put in. they are supposed to be really good based on what a friend said, but they want to put a wetterhour chip in. he also said that the apr chips he had seen had been having problems with the programs and that on the dyno, they weren't producing the claimed numbers... so is apr really not as good, or is he just trying to get me to get the chip they sell? ($495 installed)

i'm well pleased with my apr chip....

after all he is trying to sell you something! i've had my chip for almost 25 Kmi. only problem i've had connected to the chip, is a blown bpv.

I'm a noob - but here's my opinion...

I have had no problems with my APR chip. I haven't used any other ones and I'm not planning on going on a dyno.... all I wanted was a good "kick" to my car when I press on the gas - and I got that. =D

Now I'm off to race my friend's Eclipse GSX!! :P

Wett chip group buy, don't waste 200$

There is a wett chip group buy going on through the end of next month. Only 295$ including installation. I would advise you to check it out, its a great value. From what Ive read, the wett chip is just as good as any other chip, I wouldn't hesitate to consider it. so this blown bpv, how much did it cost to replace? I plan to get an APR stage one chip for my 2000 1.8T, but what would it cost to purchase the bpv as well as have it installed.
