First speeding ticket in CT

First speeding ticket in CT
I know there are a few people on this board from CT so I'm hoping you can help me out with this problem:
Last Tuesday, I was going up this back road at a reasonable speed when I noticed this Chevrolet Camaro tailgating me. At the time this didn't bother me much at least not until I turned off this unknown road and found that he was still right behind me. So I decided to speed up thinking he would back off. I was wrong. A few seconds later, a State Trooper pulled me over for supposedly going 59mph by a school. Since this was my first ticket ever, I checked off the guilty plea and mailed in the payment.
My question is--Since this is my first ticket, the DMV cannot suspend my drivers license can they?

I plead guilty on the ticket and paid the $196. fee. According to the back of the ticket, if you plead guilty and mail in the payment...you lose no points.
