It fits!
well, sort of.
Initial measurements with this wheel/tire combo (285/30-18 on an 18x9.5 Corvette wheel) on my B6 A4 suggest that the B6's aluminum upright, besides being a bit lighter than the B5's steel piece, also has a bit more clearance on the inside thus will allow the wheel to be tucked under the fender a bit further. I've already started flaring the fender (it's still a bit crude at this point, obviously) but before I bend any more metal, I'm going to try swapping a B6 upright onto the car, as well as reinstall the CPP upper control arms to dial-in 2.4 degrees of negative camber, so I can determine exactly how much of a flare I'll need.
So far, so good, though! :-)
