THe audi dealers I called didn't have any tranny fluid. I was told that they use 75w 90. I bought red line tranny fluid for my 96 2.8q. Smoothed things out quite a bit.
You'll need a 17mm allen head socket and a 16mm (I think) safty tork star socket (bought mine from snapon $35). I'll rent it to you if you like.
