FMIC Got a question?

I know they don't suffer from heatsoak but I was wondering how much of a horsepower gain is there?

it doesn't gain any hp...it maintains the power that you already have...

heatsoak=timing pull=less power.

FMIC's function is to prevent heatsoak.

Oh ok, I thought with cooler air it would help alot more than that.

003 for timing and 020 for timing pull back. I'm hoping when my FMIC gets here it will be the answer to my prayers.

I dont agree. A large IC can increase HP if the stock piece isnt effecient

If it drops the temp into the intake more than the stock IC. If a stock IC drops the intake temp by 60 degrees, and a larger (more effecient) IC drops it by 90 degrees due to better materials and design, then more advance can be run, even on stock chips. This benefit is greatly enhanced if the chip can be changed to take advantage of the lower intake temps. I have often heard that IC's dont improve HP output and thoght I would speak up. They do make a diff, size of diff. depends on how bad the stock IC is.
