Fog light switch
I just got an Audi A4 1998. I know that the fog lights are in the head lights. But where is the switch and how do I turn them on? Also what are those speaker looking things in the upper driver side wind shield/door areas? And the button on the lower drivers seat on the column, kinda where the seat belt follows up on. Thank you so much, I got the audi with no manual, it was from owner, not dealer.

Congrats on the car.
I have a 98.5, so hopefully these answers apply to your car as well...
1) Your dash should have two buttons that resemble a small light with small dashes (representing light rays). One is for the front fogs and the other is for the rear fog light. The rear will only go on with the fronts on.
2) speaker is for integrated hands-free cell phone (obviously only works with dealer installed kit).
3)Button by seatbelt is do disable internal motion senor when alarm is activated. Very useful if you want to lock your dog in the car while you run into the store....

Fog light switch: center consold above the stereo, looks like the letter "D" with wavey lines through it. One is for front fogs (green triangle on switch) and the other is for the rear fogs.
The little speaker by the upper left corner of the windshield is the mic for the Audi phone (no one ever orders that option).
The switch down low to the side of the driver's seat turns off the interior motion alarm when you lock the car. Use this if you are going to lock the car, but leave the windows cracked. Or if you lock the car and leave you dog or animal in the car (which would set off the alarm).
