front mount intercooler question

Default front mount intercooler question
has anyone ever heard that a f. mount intercooler doesn't work w/o removing something on an A4 first

no a tech told me that i would have to remove a piece of the body for the front mount to function right. he said to run another side mount on the pass. side b/c there is a crossmember there to feed air to the stock ic

Default There are FMIC's that fit without removal of any body panels
Another side mount on the passenger hasn't been done yet. With the stock bumper the OEM IC (and if there were one on the passenger side) get little air. If you are going to spend the bucks, might as well get a front mount.

that tech said he could get that other side for $300 where the front ran $1200 that sound right?

Default Possibly if he knows where it can be mounted.
They have FMICs that are a little under $800 from SPP as well as the usual $1000+ ones (APR, EVOMS, etc.)

Default How does the Greedspeed twin intercooler system work.
It says that it is in addition to the existing intercooler.
