This may be old news to a lot of you. But for those who don't already know, Garrett Lim has recently introduced an update to his already outstanding chip program.

Back in November I started out with the standard program -- GIAC 24.v03.
The performance was, of course, outstanding.
But my car surged at low RPMs.

So Todd @ AWE reprogrammed the chip with the "anti-surge" program. BIG improvement. The surging was gone when I was on the throttle. But then it surged when I would lift off the throttle at low RPMs. Weird.

So last week Todd gave me the new 30A program.
I drove home from Philly, and did quite a bit of highway and city driving this past weekend.
HUGE improvement. No more surging at all.
This program is so smooth, it could pass for stock. (with an extra 47hp that is)
The boost feels much more linear now, that I wondered if my car wasn't as fast. But a quick check of the speedometer assured me that I still had all my performance. (I wish I had a GTech!)

Apparently the later model cars are less prone to surging. So this upgrade might not be as necessary for you. But if you have a 97 or a 98 car, I highly recommend getting this upgrade.

In fact, Todd told me that 30A is the new standard program for everyone buying their chips now.
