APR gift certificate!
They can all get them in whatever denominations they are comfortable with...and you can lump them all together to get whatever you want...chip/suspension/brakes/etc. by kicking in a little bit of your own money!
Otherwise, there aren't many (any?) inexpensive mods for my car that I would impose on my family! Everything I can think of is $200 and up (except maybe fuzzy dice).
The Tirerack probably does gift certificates too, but I'd steer them towards APR first if you're bone stock!

None of those (except the chip) should cost you more than a couple hundred, not including installation. IMO, the chip is the first thing you should do. I'd go with APR, it's definitely worth the money. This is all assuming you have a 1.8T, which you didn't specify.

I saw an A6 with dealer-applied stripes at Langan's in Albany NY.
Salesman confessed that some A6 buyers are fuddy-dudy Cadillac types who insist on stripes.
