Going nuts!!! Need help!

I decided to get my 01 1.8t the GIAC chip. Here's the problem.

Most sites say ( including GIAC) it gives 30-37hp and 50-55 ft/lbs. On other sites ( such as AWE tuning) they say 40hp and 80ft/lbs! What gives? Are there 2 different GIAC chips? Is one right and the other wrong?

Someone please help me out.

iirc giac is @the wheels, awe is @the crank

Both sound like crank numbers...

Just appears GIAC is posting up more conservative numbers.
