Going for road test Wednesday at 8am....Im so nervous about it mostly with Paralleling. Ne tips??

How come ....
Everyone who takes their drivers test fears the parallel parking portion???
Have many people been killed parallel parking? Is it that much more dangerous than any other driving(highway, 4 way intersections, etc.)?

We have a closed course in NJ....all it is is going around a parking lot with orange cones..........
All it is is turns, K Turn, Parallel, Backing up Straight. Thats it. It only takes like 3 mins.

Aight... step one... don't spaz. They're just state employees.
For parallel parking remember to take your time. When I parallel I pull up to the car in front of my spot until I'm about even with the rear doors, roughly the middle of the car. Then I cut the wheel all the way and begin to reverse into the spot. Watch your rear corner over your shoulder. As soon as the drivers side corner of your car passes the passenger side corner of the car behind you straighten the wheel and go back a few feet, the cut it the other way to bring the front of the car into the space, making sure you clear the car in front of you of course. If you've done that should be close enough to the curb, center your car front to back in the spot and you're home free.
Be sure and signal for everything, especially parking, and especially parallel parking. They will probably have a set or barrels or something similar for you to parallel between so be ready to have a different point of reference.
Obey all posted signs, stop at all cross walks, and make sure you know how to work all the features of your car, like the high beams, hazard lights, wipers, etc. Also make sure that all of these are in good working order. In many states a failing vehicle means a failing grade for you as well.
