got boost problems... please read

Lately when I step on the gas I notice that there sounds like a large leak coming from the motor. It sounds like boost is being leaked out of the motor. My first thought was my BPV. I have a turbo XS bpv with no spacers in it and a APR ecu. Could i have blown a hose? the car definetly feels slugish and the noise that the BPV puts out is not as purnounced as it used to be. Does this cause my car to run rich? and what should i do to help this problem??

If it sounds like its honking, I would check the hoses to make sure they are all still attached, if they are, it sounds like the BPV is shot.

I had the same problem ....

and it was an "L" shape hose coming out of the intake manifold ,the person that took care of me at the dealership told me that is very usual that it breaks (This is how i found out which one it was , start your car and if the hose collapses then you need a new one ) i'll to post a pic tomorrow

Is it like a low pitched 'whistling' noise?.. If so , I get this from cold on my '97 1.8T.

I got the same F#$&?!G problem. Just made a call to the dealership

Let me know what it turns out to be. I checked all hoses but they seem to be fine. I'm out of warantee so I really don't want to take it in. This all happened after I just changed the air filter.
