Guys, I just wanted to say that Audi isn't all that bad......If they truly believe that....

Ed's car was chipped, but are doing the work anyway, they can't be blamed for trying to cover their own asses. I just wanted to say thanks for "shooing" this one under the carpet and taking care of Ed's car.
So to reverse the current trend.....Much Love AOA

Yea, they are.....despite the fact that they believe it was modified. Any other....

car company prolly would have taken it all the way. Good form on AOA's behalf for not dragging this through legal slop.

The situation w/ Ed's car as explained to me......correct if wrong

One of the turbo's wastegate rod was set incorrectly causing that turbo to dip out long before the requested boost had been reached. Because the computer just registers net boost from the set of turbos, the turbo which blew its seal was forced to take up the slack of the "bum" turbo which in this case was severe enough to overspin/blow the good unit. This is turn would lead AOA to believe that the car was indeed chipped because the good turbo was forced to take up the slack and was pushed to its limit. The way the seals ruptured and oil collected is a textbook case of what a blown turbo on a chipped car looks like. AOA was right in saying that the turbo blew because of excess boost, because it did. But not because of an aftermarket ECU. Ok, thats the lowdown that I got. Anybody else hear anything different?
