They do offer the best warranty in the business, but they also charge a premium in my book.
1. Reduces their internal staffing needs.
2. Forces (over the long haul) people to buy through their distribution network, and not through alternative means (internet).
I don't like this policy in general, and when I find companies that won't deal with customers 1 on 1, I do my best to avoid them in the future.
that does suck about your experience... i guess i'm just really excited. my deck wouldn't do anything, it was basically worthless and i thought i was faced with having to by a new one... paying $150 was a great alternative, especially since i love the deck itself.
