Headlamp Conversion A4'99

I have a 99 A4 which came with those 2-piece headlamps. I just love those 1-piece clear headlamps that came with the the post 99 A4s. I've checked with the dealers and they insisted that it's impossible to fit the origianl 1-piece unit into my car. Is that really true? Can any modification be done?

It can be done. And has been done many times. Some minor fender trimming is involved.

Check the tech section of AW for more details. I'm too tired to look for you. Sorry.

I'm getting mine done next Wednesday, btw.

pleasantly surprised by how fast responses come in

Maybe i should clarify, i'm thinking of putting in those Original Audi 1-piece A4 headlamps. It's not easy to find those 3-party parts where i'm staying
