Headlight Options
I recently bought a Audi A4 2.8 and would like to change the headlights. I am a little confused about the difference between Xenon and ecodes are, could someone explain more what the difference is.
I like the look of halo's, is it possible to have xenon lights with halo's?
Where is the best place to buy all the parts I would need to upgrade my stock halogen headlights to something with xenon's?

Ecodes are European spec headlamps. They have no amber inserts
and the beam pattern is diff. to conform to Euro standards. They also have city lights. Technically they are not legal since they don't conform to US DOT standards. Many prefer the output and beam pattern and the clear corner lamps. Xenon generally refers to HID headlamps. It's a gas discharge lamp similar to a street lamp. Often they are identified by their blue or very white color. Light output is greatly improved over halogen bulbs. You can chose from US DOT halogen or HID headlights or European Halogen or DOT. The best light output is provided by the Euro or Ecode HID lights. This is generally the most expensive option however.
