Heater Same temperature as lowest setting. nothing changes. cold.......

When i set the the temperature to anything, it still feels like the "lo" setting, even at "hi". unless i turn on the A/C, which it'll be colder. i checked both those hoses that go into the cabin next to the main battery. and both are hot, so i can't be clogged anything. i've run outta idea's, the highest and lowest temp settings feel cold. basically the heat is'nt kickin in. anyone know why?

only guess I have is that one of the motors that moves the baffles

is shot, or the baffle is stuck. Unfortunately I can't even begin to describe how to fix it... but that might give you a start. Def sounds internal, unless your cc $hit the bed... then that might explain why the heat doesnt change with you adjusting the temperature.

Is the baffle also called what everyone else says is the Temp Damper?, where is it located?

maybe... honestly can't tell you for sure.

I'm sure it's in the hvac "air box" that houses the heater core and evap core. I've had someone tell me you can access the motors on them by dropping the driver's side knee bolster and removing the center console, but I've never messed with it while in the car. I had the entire dash out for my evap core replacement, but never messed with the motors or flaps really.

hmm, now it went from all cold to all hot. anyone know how to get to the motor/flap?

do you have a bentley manual by chance? if not, you might try the online one...

that should give you instructions on how to get to it... search the forums for the online one... I lost the link, so I can't help ya out with it.

i took a picture, is the white thing here the motor?, because it does'nt move to anything ........

<center><img src="http://img61.echo.cx/img61/1965/dsc02505medium7yk.jpg"></center><p>right now, the blue one responds to the upper/mid section venting, there is a red one in the back u can see from the driver side that seems to control the foot area vents. this white one does'nt move no matter what i set, high, low, different vent configs, is this the flap/motor for the heater?
