Heel and toe problem / question

I've got quite a bit of lateral play in my accelerator pedal, which makes it sloppy sometimes when I blip the pedal for a downshift. I've got stock pedals, and I'm just looking for a way to snug up the side-to-side slop in the pedal mechansim.

I'm considering some new pedals-- would that help? Reccomendations?

Also, I'll take the "improve your technique, rookie!" response as given!

visit startupracing.com for a good write-up. OEM pedals aren't heel & toe friendly, aftermarket

ones like AWE, Autovation, Sparco all make it easier with a bumped out gas pedal. Pratice and patience makes perfect. In the interim you can also double clutch, which is epsecially good when downshifting to 2nd on a cold tranny.
