Help!

Can anyone tell me how to get the black plastic out of the handbrake on my car? I got the explanation on the Tech page, but I couldn't get it out by all means. Thanx guys!

You mean the black pin thing holding the upper sleeve in place?

Mine's been missing for about a year. I just pulled on it or pried it out and I lost it when it came out. The upper sleeve stays in place just fine when I put everything together.

Yep. That's the one. I'm trying to remove my center console and that is one of the things you have to remove besides the 700 other bolts and screws. Do you know how to get it out?

All bentley says is: Remove locking pin -3- downward

Pull the e-brake up all the way

and look just under the handle where it ends at the very bottom. You will see a square peg, you need to remove that with a flat head screw driver. Start from the top part of the ped which is the side closest to the release button. As you pull it outward it will swing downward.
