Help!

ok im in a bind, im trying to sell my audi but i cant figure out what is wrong with my car!!! ok i have a A4 1.8t quattro, here is the problem. Sometimes when i stop there is a putting noise that comes from either the front center of the engine or around there and also sometimes in the back. I cant figure out what it is...i took it to my dealership they said they couldnt figure out waht it was cause all i could say was there is a putting noise when i brake, they said they need to hear it in order to tell what it is...Anybody have this problem or noise...any possibilities of maybe what it is, id appreciate any thoughts...

a putting noise?

do you maybe mean a sputtering noise.

nope...

it sound like a putt, putt, putt, over and over until you start driving again, only happens so often...it doesnt happen when you drive...

clean your ABS sensors

your ABS might be activating...

check your CV joints.... but they make a clicking noise.

check suspension components.... links/arms never know when they decide to make noises.
