OK, I have a 1998 A4 Quattro 2.8 stick. I replaced my pads all around and now the peddle is spongy. Didn't think I would have to bleed them, but I guess I do... correct?
And, now, my brake lights won't work. The third light works fine, as do the tail lights when I put the lights on. But, when I step on the brake, it's just the third light that goes on. Any suggestions?

Not sure what the issue is on the lights. - could be a ground issue or perhaps your bulbs are wrong or burnt.

Yes - sometimes air gets into the system and you need to bleed. My suggestion is to to a complete fluid change on the brakes. I have found that doing one side at a time and pumping the brakes reduces the chances of air in the system

And, I broke off one of the bleeder screws trying to bleed the system yesterday. It broke off in the caliper. Not leaking, but I cant get it out. Any way around it?
