Default I'd walk...it you wanted Quattro...you'll regret not having it and then later down the line you'll

be forced to sell your Front Drive cause you what you really wanted was a Quattro...

Don't believe me...here's my old car...

99 1.8TMS (Neuspeed K04, 5 Bar FPR, Beru Ultra X Plugs, K&N Filter, Remus Exhaust, S4 Wheel Well Liner Mod, Bilstein Sport Shocks, Neuspeed Sport Springs, Neuspeed Front Anti Sway, Brembo Rotors, Mintex Red Box, Ronal R-7's 17", 225/45/R17 Bridgestone S02 PP, Smartire (neat gimmick), Greddy Turbo Timer, European Projectors, Clear Sides and Full Tint...)

Uhh sold that one...here's my new car...

2001 A4 1.8TQMSXP (Oettinger Pedals, Oettinger RE's 17x8 Yoko AVS Sports 225/45/R17, Euro Xenon Housings, Bailey BPV and RS4 Grille)

Notice the Q in that 1.8TQMSXP I ended up dumping about $7000 into that 1999 and it was a great car...don't get me wrong, but if you want to go all out on an A4 (250+ HP) it just doesn't make sense to do it on a FWD car...so I cut my losses sold my car and bought a Quattro...I'm slowly building this one back to the glory of the previous car but it comes at a great expense...so if you want Quattro, buy a Quattro...DON'T let them romance you into taking the FWD if that's not what you wanted in the first place...they will give you all sorts of logical arguments as to why you, "didn't really need Quattro" it's all bull**** far as I'm concerned...you want what you ordered and that's what you should get.

Analogy :

Why is it that one can order a pizza from some pimply faced teenager and it shows up some 30 minuets later with EXACTLY what you ordered on it...but when you go into a dealership and order a $30,000 car they'll swear they ran out of pepperoni (tiptronic transmissions...insert whatever part you like) 2 months into your build and so you're not getting what you want...or worse they don't tell you...the car shows up and they expect you to still be satisfied...NO WAY.

You've got a tough decision to make...may the force be with you

Regards,

James R.

Default That's a major change.

I know that people sometimes order Xenons or Bose and the dealer mistakenly leaves it out. But Quattro...That's major. I am not getting Quattro, but if I wanted it and didn't get it I'd be pissed!! My dealer has had trouble getting my options right. I ordered Xenon, but he didn't put it on the order. When he finally did, he took off the ESP!! I hope he's got it right. I have to call every two weeks to verify. If I were you, I'd make him find you a car with all your options,.now! I'm sure you don't want to wait another 3 months.

Default i agree...don't go for it if that's what you wanted (more)

and i strongly recommend quattro. i live in cali too (bay area) and even though there's not that much rain and no snow, although i plan on going to tahoe often, quattro is still useful. overall handling is much better with the 4wd, and it gives you peace of mind. even on dry pavement, the quattro works where i'd be slipping with a FWD, that's right, even on dry pavement...with aggressive driving too. but point here, don't get it if it's not what you ordered...and lacking quattro is enuf of a reason not to get it imho.
